Description

  • Significantly reduces noise from wooden and laminate flooring helps to level out any minor unevenness in the subfloor
  • Helps to level out any minor unevenness in the subfloor
  • Prevents overstraining of the floorboards

Laying Instructions

Before starting to lay the material, take care that the subfloor is even, dry, clean, and pressure resistant. Silent Plus should be rolled onto the floor parallel to the wall, foil side down, and at right angles to the direction in which you plan to lay the floor covering. It can be trimmed with a cutter or sharp knife. Once the underlay is laid out all joints must be taped. If laying over cement screed, the joints should be sealed with waterproof tape such as duck tape. We also recommend using a moisture barrier (e.g. 1000 gauge polythene) beneath the underlay for additional moisture protection. Extend the moisture barrier up the walls behind the skirting, overlap any joints by 300mm (12”), and tape with waterproof tape. When the whole room has been laid, the intended floor covering (laminate, cork, prefabricated parquet etc.) can be laid on top.
